Learn How to Run a Game Design in Your Classroom

Open To: All middle and high school teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance:  As part of a national game design challenge hosted by Games for Change, NYC public school teachers have the opportunity to learn how to teach “serious game design” in their classrooms. Following an application review, teachers will be selected to receive professional development training to run a game design course in their classrooms during the 2016–17 school year. 

Key Dates: Teachers will receive training in September, and courses will launch in schools in October 2016. Participating students will be encouraged to submit their final games to the Student Challenge competition in April 2017.

Registration Deadline: Friday, September 2.
