Fearless Voices: Engaging a New Generation of African American Adolescent Male Writers with Dr. Alfred Tatum

Open to: 6-12 teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: Your pens will be on fire as Dr. Tatum leads you through different strategies that help students use writing to chronicle, explore, and navigate their lives. You’ll explore different ways to support student writers and help them identify and foster their own authentic voices. When you leave this workshop you will feel invigorated and ready to ramp up your own writing instruction. Participants will receive a copy of Dr. Tatum’s book “Fearless Voices: Engaging the Next Generation of African American Male Writers”. Breakfast will be available.
