Opportunity at a Glance: Learn to integrate cooking into STEM and ELA lessons using recipes as informational and procedural texts. Discuss DIY food business ideas for student entrepreneurs. Explore cooking as it relates to students’ health, environmental awareness, cultural identity, and even their college and career readiness. Get an overview of key cooking skills during an active demonstration and create a healthy Latin American and Asian inspired meal. Certificates of attendance will be issued to validate three hours professional development credit earned.
