Pathway to Positive Behavior: Support and Strategic Interventions K-2

Open to: K-2 Classroom Teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: This full day session is structured as a series of behavior intervention pathways enabling participants to achieve the greatest benefits by implementing effective classroom management principles, strategies to gain student compliance, and techniques to defuse and deescalate disruptive behaviors. All workshop content is research-based and drawn from principles of effective behavior management. Participants will examine strategies for positive behavior management in the classroom, including how to: apply techniques for stronger student-teacher relationships; support students to take responsibility for their behaviors; defuse, and deescalate non-compliance and defiance using positive behavioral interventions that promote student engagement and responsibility; and define student behavior problems clearly and specifically-and identify reasons that misbehavior is occurring
