Opportunity at a Glance: Learn about the variety of plants we have both indoors and outdoors, plant parts and their vital functions, and how inquiry can help young learners discover their local environment. Using non-fiction text sets and e-content provided by an Institute of Museum and Library Services grant, you will learn how to infuse literacy into hands-on science instruction. Upon completing the workshop, you will receive a voucher for a class trip to The Environmental Studies Center during the 2017-2018 school year as well as access to lessons, digital resources and e-content which supplement the class visit. Select one of the two session dates to attend. Training rate available. Principal permission and letter of support required.
