Opportunity at a Glance: This Black History Month collection highlights texts, primary sources, instructional guides and videos to use with your students as they learn about key figures, events and legislation that defined the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s. In addition to the materials you can use with your students, the collection also includes articles and strategies for teachers to help students get the most out of Black History Month. As African American history is American History, these resources can be integrated within your curricula and taught throughout the year.
