Learn About Lively Literature Circles

Open to: Middle and high school teachers;  Instructional and literacy coaches;  ELL and special education teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: Nancy Steineke, co-author of “Mini-Lessons for Literature Circles,” will share a wealth of strategies for: establishing and elevating literature circle routines, creating model lessons to lead students toward insightful conversations, and coaching discussions that build strong social-academic skills and decrease classroom management issues. Teachers will be armed with a deeper skill set in providing robust coaching and instruction during literature circles. All participants will receive a copy of her book “Mini-Lessons for Literature Circles”. Breakfast will be included.
