Explore Media Literacy at the Newseum this Summer

Open to: 6-12 grade teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: The Newseum is offering a unique opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities of today’s participatory media landscape. Deepen your understanding of information production and consumption and the power of the First Amendment through workshops, exhibit exploration, collaborative sharing and creative thinking. Time will be dedicated to developing new resources and activities to take back to the classroom. The workshop is free but transportation and lodging are not included.

Event Date: Wednesday July 12 – Friday 14, 2017; 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Location: Newseum, 555 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Washington, DC 20001.

Registration Deadline: Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 7. You will receive notification on Friday, May 26.
