Apply or Nominate: Penguin Random House Teacher Awards for Literacy

Open to: All teachers grades K-12.

Opportunity at a Glance: Penguin Random House Teacher Awards for Literacy recognize innovative projects that advance literacy and encourage students to become lifelong readers. $10,000, $5,000 and $2,500 grant awards are available including $2,500 in Penguin Random House titles. Awards will be made payable to the teacher’s respective school.

Key dates:

  • Friday, September 15: Application/nomination deadline. 
  • Thursday, November 16 — Sunday, November 19: $10,000 Recipients are invited to attend the Penguin Random House Awards event at the National Council of Teachers of English Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. (Transportation, lodging and conference registration included)

Take action: Speak to your school leader about the time out of the classroom associated with award recipients, then apply or nominate teachers for the awards.
