Collaborate with a Scientist-in-Residence

Open to: All teachers Grades K-12.

Opportunity at a Glance: Would you like to collaborate with a scientist from one of New York City’s premiere universities or science research institutions? The Scientist-in-Residence Program matches you and your class with a scientist or STEM professional to scope out and co-lead a research-based STEM project with your students. In turn, you will share your skills with the scientist-in-residence, to help them to develop pedagogical skills and explore teaching as a potential career.

(This opportunity offers per session. The posting will be available in September.)

Event date: October 2017 – May 2018.

Location: The Scientist or STEM professional will join you in your classroom, plus convening sites for the program in Manhattan.

Application deadline: Friday, September 29.
