Supporting All Students in Becoming Super Readers

Open to: K-5 teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: Building upon the seven strengths employed by super readers, Ernest Morrell, Ph.D. (Every Child A Super Reader) will help us explore many ways to immerse students in an intellectually invigorating, emotionally nurturing, literature-rich community to support all students in becoming passionate, insightful, and critical readers. The day will conclude with a reading and discussion with the award-winning children’s and YA author, Andrea Davis Pinkney. Teachers will return to their schools equipped with numerous ideas and strategies to support ALL students in their reading and writing work. Breakfast will be provided.
