Apply for the NYU Astor International Travel Fellowship

Open to: Teachers with at 3+ years of full-time teaching experience in NYC public schools (as of September 2017).

Opportunity at a Glance: The theme of this year’s Astor International Travel Fellowship for NYC public school teachers is Global Music Education. Fellows will travel to Prague in the Czech Republic. Through concerts, guest workshops, and field visits, teachers will  explore the historical and folk roots of music and music education. Participants will engage with music educators and musicians from across the world at the International Society for Music Education‘s Music in Schools and Teacher Education Commission (ISME MISTEC) workshop, during the program. For teachers selected as Astor Fellows, NYU Steinhardt will arrange for accommodation, round trip air fare, meals, and visa fees. Fellows are responsible for covering the cost of ground transportation to and from the airport in NYC.  

Program dates: Monday, July 2 — Friday, July 13, 2018.
