Explore Practical Classroom Strategies: Support English Language Learners’ Reading

Open to: Middle and high school ELA and ENL teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: Join authors Linda Chen and Eugenia Mora-Flores for a workshop to explore specific classroom practices that can be employed in all ELA classrooms to support our English Language Learners. The day will conclude with a reading and discussion with Charles R. Smith, the YA author of 28 Days: Moments in Black History That Changed the World, Chameleon, Hoop Kings, Hoop Queens, If, and many more. Participants will receive several of Charles R. Smith’s books at the event.
