Opportunity at a Glance: Attend an information session to learn more about the Universal Literacy Reading Coach position. Reading Coaches help grades K–2 teachers build their knowledge base and skill level around literacy instruction, curriculum, and assessment. The Universal Literacy Initiative – part of Mayor Bill de Blasio and Chancellor Richard A. Carranza’s Equity and Excellence Agenda – is expanding. There will be additional opportunities to become a Reading Coach for the 2018–19 school year.
