Opportunity at a Glance: Participate in a 3-day training series focused on solar energy hosted by the DOE Office of Sustainability and Solar 1. The NYC Solar PD includes a combination of hands-on activities that give context for why solar is important – such as an introduction to power plants, fossil fuels, renewable energy and climate change- and hands-on solar activities and experiments. Teachers will be provided with a materials toolkit, lessons, standards alignment including NGSS, and more. This training is eligible for CTLE credits.
- Brooklyn: November 19, January 9, March 4; 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Manhattan: December 5, January 16 and March 7; 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
