Participate in Gardening 101 at the New York Botanical Garden

Open to: 3-8 Grade teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: Join us at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx for Gardening 101! Strengthen student engagement using your school garden. Teachers of grades 3-8 are challenged to use problem solving and critical thinking to address issues associated with garden design and financial and community support while integrating local resources into their teaching practice. This course is most useful for those starting or reviving a garden program at their school. The cost of this course is $290 and includes 2 P-Credits and 24 CTLE hours.

Key dates: Class meets on Sundays; March 24, April 7, April 28 and May 19 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.(Sundays) between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Location: New York Botanical Garden, 2900 Southern Blvd., Bronx, NY 10458.

Registration Deadline: Saturday, March 23.
