Participate in the 6th Annual Literacy Unbound Summer Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University

Open to: Elementary — High School Literacy, Humanities & Arts Teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: Following five exciting summer institutes, the Center for the Professional Education of Teachers (CPET) at Teachers College will again host a two week program called LITERACY UNBOUND. This year, the program will bring together 12 high school students and 12 teachers from around the city to create an original multimodal performance piece inspired by a reading of Zora Neale Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God. Throughout, teachers will work together to create curriculum to pilot in their classrooms in the fall of 2019. The program is free for those teachers selected. CTLE is available.

Key dates: Monday, July 29 — Saturday, August 10.
