Opportunity at a Glance: The Brooklyn Institute for Social Research (BISR) offers seminar-style courses in the humanities and social sciences taught by talented scholars from a variety of disciplines. Thanks to a generous grant from the Teagle Foundation, BISR is now offering scholarships to NY state public school teachers to enroll in BISR courses at highly reduced price—just $100, or 70% less than the standard enrollment fee. Teachers who attend will earn CTLE credits (12 hours per course). Upcoming courses include:
