Gain Practical Approaches for Teaching Students with Disabilities in the Visual Arts Classroom

Open to: Visual Arts teachers working in inclusive, self-contained and D75 settings.

Opportunity at a Glance: Looking for new ways to work with students with disabilities? Feeling overwhelmed by trying to meet the needs of many different types of learners? Join the Office of Arts and Special Projects to learn more about disability types and how to engage all learners. We will discuss how to make the Individualized Education Program (IEP) work in the art room, brainstorm proactive classroom management techniques, plan for differentiated instruction, and create practical tools that you can start using on day one next fall.
