Culturally & Linguistically Responsive Teaching and Learning with Sharroky Hollie

Opportunity at a Glance: Dr. Sharroky Hollie, founder of the Culture and Language Academy of Success, a laboratory school that demonstrated the principles of cultural responsiveness, will share his pedagogical framework for implementing culturally and linguistically responsive teaching and learning in all classrooms. Dr. Hollie will share practical and explicit tools as well as concrete approaches that teachers can use in their classrooms to support management, use of culturally authentic texts, academic vocabulary, lesson planning, and situational appropriateness. Strategies taught in this session support students Next Generation ELA Standards, ILF and CRSE. CTLE is available for this workshop.
