Saturday Session: The Great Migration and Black Citizenship

Open to: All teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: Consider the many factors that contributed to the Great Migration in the early 20th century. Using materials from our Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow and Women & the American Story curricula, discuss life for Black Americans in the Jim Crow south and the new communities they built after migrating. Pizza lunch will be served. Participants will receive 4 CTLE hours. Cost: $15 per person ($10 for members)
