Open to: Grades 3-5 Math Bilingual Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: This two-day institute will (1) consider the language and content demands for teaching and learning mathematics, (2) explore a variety of instructional strategies that scaffold Multilingual Learners’ thinking as they learn mathematics, and (3) engage participants in reflecting on this learning experience and plan for implementing strategies in their classrooms. This opportunity is eligible for CTLE credits.
Cohort 1: March 23 and April 2, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cohort 2: April 6 and May 7, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: The City College of New York, 137th Street and Convent Avenue, Manhattan
Registration deadline: Friday, February 28.
