Eternal Youth: Science and Fantasy with Allen M. Spiegel (CTLE credits given)

Opportunity at a Glance: Death has been a central human preoccupation since the evolution of conscious thought. Yet, until recently, research into aging was a scientific backwater. Teachers will explore with renowned scientist-physician Allen M. Spiegel scientific advances in our understanding of the aging process and some of the myths and charlatans espousing eternal youth.  Cost: $250, paid by your school. Scholarships are available. This opportunity is eligible for CTLE credits.
