Paid Professional Development Opportunity Summer 2020 Teacher-Ranger-Teacher in NYC (Social Studies)

Open to: All teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: An opportunity for K-12 teachers to acquire new skills in experiential learning provided through a partnership between the National Park Service (NPS) and the University of Colorado Denver (CUD). The participants work with the NPS unit developing an educational project and completing an online graduate course from CUD. General Grant National Memorial is seeking a classroom educator to provide professional review of NPS materials for alignment with current national and local ed.standards, document them, and update the materials as necessary. The TRT will meet virtually and collaborate with the NPS staff, all of the work may be done at home. Recipients will earn a $3,000 stipend upon completion of program and graduate requirements.
