Professional Development Opportunity Summer 2020 Teacher-Ranger-Teacher in NYC (Social Studies) II – with stipend

Open to: All teachers.

Opportunity at a Glance: The program is an opportunity for K-12 teachers to acquire new skills in experiential learning through a partnership between the National Park Service (NPS) and the University of Colorado Denver (CUD). The participants work with an NPS unit developing an educational project and completing an online graduate course from CU Denver. Hamilton Grange Nat’l Mem. is seeking a classroom educator to review of standards-based ed. materials to determine alignment with current national and local standards, document them, and update where they do not. The selectee will meet virtually and collaborate with staff, and all the work may be completed at home. Recipients will earn a $3,000 stipend upon completion of program and graduate course requirements.
