Opportunity at a Glance: In order to support Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Implementation Leads and teachers with advanced SEL or academic practices, you are encouraged to join the citywide “Transformative Social Emotional Learning and Mitigating SEL Assessment Bias” professional learning session.
“Transformative Social Emotional Learning and Mitigating SEL Assessment Bias” is a citywide session hosted by the Office of Equity and Access. During this session participants will do the following:
- Receive an overview of the Transformative Social Emotional Learning framework and;
- Participate in a discussion about best practices for mitigating assessment bias when completing the DESSA.
Key dates: Thursday December 2nd from 1:00p.m. – 3:00p.m.
