Opportunity at a Glance: The former USS Intrepid was in service for 31 years, from 1943-1974. During this period, Navy policies that impacted the diversity on board the ship often mirrored cultural shifts within the United States. Beginning Tuesday January 11, 2022, join us for a virtual professional development series (three sessions) highlighting social justice through seldom told stories, accomplishments and policies impacting race, gender, and sexual orientation.
To attend all three sessions, please register for each one individually, one day (24 hours) before the session date. $5.00 per session.
Registration is permitted for individual sessions (2 CTLE credits per session).
Key dates:
- Tuesday January 11, 2022 from 4:30p.m. – 6:30p.m.: Double Victory: Black Americans in World War II;
- Tuesday February 15, 2022 from 4:30p.m. – 6:30p.m.: We Can Do It: Women in the Military; and
- Tuesday March 15, 2022 from 4:30p.m. – 6:30p.m: Speaking Up: Policies of Inclusion for LGBTQ+ Service Members
