Opportunity at a Glance: Join Dr. Ofelia Garcia, Cristian Solorza, and Maite Sanchez during a two-day synchronous institute and learn how to leverage Multilingual Learners (MLs) /English Language Learners (ELLs) bilingualism in service of academic achievement through trans-languaging pedagogical approaches. Sessions will focus on the following:
- Session 1 will focus on the theoretical foundations of trans-languaging and planning for these trans-languaging spaces in their classroom settings.
- Session 2 will focus on providing examples of how to best use these trans-languaging spaces, as aligned with trans-languaging pedagogy and current NYS/ NYC Language Allocation Policy guidelines.

- Session 1: Thursday April 14 from 3:00p.m. – 5:00p.m.
- Session 2: Thursday April 28 from 3:00p.m. – 5:00p.m.
