Opportunity at a Glance: Join Met curators and educators to learn about the work of American artist Winslow Homer.  Explore his mastery of themes of struggle and conflict, and identify visual tools he used to create suspense, convey mood, and represent pivotal moments.  Compare strategies writers use to describe similar moments or moods. Experiment with writing and art-making strategies, considering how to use these techniques together in the classroom.
