Opportunity at a Glance: Join us and learn how to analyze and interpret data to determine the effectiveness of the COVID -19 vaccine. During this workshop, participants will do the following:
- Use curriculum materials designed to facilitate student exploration of clinical trial data to determine efficacy and safety for the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines;
- Use a set of essays that follow the work of scientists from Johns Hopkins University and the National Institute of Health to produce a COVID-19 vaccine in response to the global pandemic; and
- Examine how mRNA vaccines work, and the ethical considerations involved in vaccine development and distribution, as well as public health implications for disadvantaged communities.
This workshop is free and offers CTLE credits upon completion.
