Open to: Grades 6-12 Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Join us for a special session for educators with Suzanne OConnell and Marlo Garnsworthy. They sailed together on the International Ocean Discovery Program’s (IODP) Expedition 382 to investigate changes in the Antarctic Ice Sheet over time and better understand its future in our warming world. Scientific ocean drilling has changed and continues to change the way we view Earth’s processes, by recovering long cylinders (cores) of sediment and rock that tell the story of Earth’s climate history.
This event is free and offers CTLE credits upon completion.
