Encouraging Intergenerational Learning through the Use of Nature and Culture

Open to: K–5 Grade Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: During this 2-day hybrid session, teachers will explore ways to incorporate both students’ culture and the nature around them to create authentic, relevant, and relatable activities. Emphasis will be on encouraging intergenerational learning outside the classroom that builds upon learning in school.

Day 1 will take place in the Museum and focus on discussions and activities in the Museum’s Halls. Day 2 will take place online, where we will build upon our work at the Museum through discussion and reflection. This session is recommended for teachers with a diverse population of students and also teachers of English Language Learners.
Key dates:  Tuesday July 26 and Wednesday July 27 from 10:00a.m. – 12:00p.m.
Location: Hybrid (Online and In-person at the Museum)
