FREE – Computational Thinking: Problem Solving Across the Curriculum (ES)

Open to: Elementary Grade Level Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Bring the language of problem solving to your Elementary Classroom! Abstraction, Logic, Evaluation and more – the concepts and approaches of computational thinking (CT) can help your students think through and tackle projects and problems, and to work as a team and communicate solutions. Participants will engage in CT as a way to elevate problem-solving skills across lessons and units, and in an Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) aligned, hands-on engineering design challenge to model the connections between computational thinking and the Engineering Design Process. Examine your own curricula for integration and draft lesson plans and activities for your classroom.
