Open to: Teachers Interested in Earning an Additional TESOL Certification
Opportunity at a Glance: Hunter College is now accepting applications for its Spring 2023 Intensive Teacher Institute (ITI) TESOL Program. Offered in partnership with the NY State Department of Education (NYSED), this additional certificate program is significantly subsidized, and provides an opportunity for current, qualified classroom teachers to pursue an additional New York state certification in PreK-12 English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Accepted applicants will begin coursework in January 2023, and will commit to teaching in a NYC Department of Education school with an ELL population for 2 years.
