Opportunity at a Glance: This 6 session hybrid course on simple sustainability offers pre K-8th grade teachers the unique opportunity to dive deeper into global environmental issues on a local level, allowing educators to learn more about current environmental concerns and social justice through a blend of technology, discussion, and hands-on projects. In addition, guest speakers, informative tours, videos and educational games offer a holistic approach to learning about real world environmental problems and how they affect different cultures, especially in terms of environmental racism.
Key dates: This course meets for 6 Saturdays. 5 sessions are remote, and 1 session is in person in Central Park. Session Dates: Oct 15, Oct 22, Nov 5, Nov 19, Dec 3, Dec 10
