Opportunity at a Glance: Join us for a workshop that explores the legacy of escape artist and icon, Harry Houdini, subject of the past Jewish Museum exhibit, Houdini: Art and Magic (2010). Hear from Brian Selznick, award-winning author/illustrator of The Houdini Box, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, Wonderstruck, and more. In addition to speaking about The Houdini Box and his interest in Houdini, Selznick will discuss influences on his work and his forthcoming book, Big Tree. Participate in discussion of selected works of art and artifacts from the Houdini: Art and Magic exhibition and a related activity with a Jewish Museum educator.
Participants receive 2 CTLE hrs.
