Opportunity at a Glance: The Survival Essentials workshop for new and pre-service teachers offers insight, resources, and support to help teachers establish solid routines, systems, and strategies for communication and assessment in the classroom. During this workshop you will learn the following:
- Skills that will help your ‘behind the scenes’ work run smoothly so you can get back to teaching;
- Strategies for seamless and stress-free communication with parents;
- How to make your job easier by setting up your teaching space and designing procedures (for yourself and students) that are intuitive and make routines easy; and
- Ways to establish your weekly work/life balance.
Key dates: Wednesday July 26 – Thursday 27 from 9:00a.m. – 3:00p.m.
