Opportunity at a Glance: In the history of the Holocaust, the story of Jews in Denmark stands out. As the Nazis prepared to deport the Jewish population of Denmark, Jews and non-Jews mobilized to create one of the most effective — and exceptional — examples of resistance and escape in modern history. Despite the risks, people throughout Denmark united against Nazism to save nearly 95% of the Jews in Denmark.
