Opportunity at a Glance: This professional learning workshop is focused on training teachers to implement Project Soapbox, part of the Civics for All initiative that calls young people to speak out on issues that affect them and their communities. These powerful speeches have lasting, transformative impacts on classrooms, schools, and communities. SoapboxNYC is the NYCDOE’s citywide effort to engage students in creating and advocating for solutions to improve their schools, communities and the lives of young people.
This session is only for teachers who have never participated in Project Soapbox or attended a Project Soapbox professional learning session before.
