Opportunity at a Glance: Join Retro Report and the New York City Department of Education Social Studies team, for a workshop focused on using U.S. History and Civics resources to meet the needs of all learners.
Retro Report has a new resource collection of 25 short films, accompanied by a series of scaffolded resources and primary source packs to engage students in inquiry activities and expository writing. These resources are a great fit for the following grade levels:
- Grade 8: Units 5 and 6;
- Grade 11: Units 5-7; and
- Grade 12: Participation in Government course
We will model classroom strategies, hear from filmmakers and have time to explore primary sources and analysis tools.
