Open to: Eligible Teachers Interested in Earning an Additional Students with Disabilities Certification or Bilingual Extension
Opportunity at a Glance: NYCPS is excited to offer the NYC Extended Certification Program, enabling qualified, current NYCPS teachers to pursue one of the following tuition-free graduate programs:
- A SWD certificate if they already have a bilingual extension, or
- A bilingual extension if they have an eligible base certificate.
Participants will work in their current school during the day, and complete virtual coursework at night, working toward an additional certificate in one year. Participants also commit to teaching in their new license for two years.
