Opportunity at a Glance: Join New York Agriculture in the Classroom for an Author Chat with farmer, educator, and author Kamal Bell. As the founder of Sankofa Farms in North Carolina, Kamal is dedicated to food justice, youth education, and sustainable agriculture. He is also the author of the book Akeem Keeps Bees, which introduces young readers to pollinators, food systems, and the environment. During this webinar educators will hear Kamal’s story, discover strategies for engaging students in agriculture through storytelling, and learn about ways to connect agriculture to the classroom.
