Native Americans in New York Educator Workshop

Opportunity at a Glance: A two day event co-hosted by Brooklyn Connections and Brooklyn Museum that examines the different ways that Native American history in New York has been told, who has told it, and how it has changed over time in this two-part, online educator professional development workshop. On October 6th, we will feature a panel of speakers from representatives of federally-recognized Lenape (Delaware) Nations across North America. On October 7th, presenters from Brooklyn Public Library and Brooklyn Museum will share resources and strategies for engaging students in explorations of New York’s indigenous communities.
