Opportunity at a Glance: Mindfulness is a particular way of paying attention to internal thoughts, sensations, emotions and external stimuli with kindness. Practicing Mindfulness in educational settings promotes self-regulation and metacognition, while enhancing attention and decreasing stress. During this workshop, you will learn activities to use in your classroom to support classroom instruction, community building, and social-emotional learning. We will also, explore the history of Mindfulness and current Mindfulness research. High-speed internet connection with a microphone is required to participate in this workshop. A webcam is recommended.
