Discover How Puerto Rican Activists Mobilized for Accessible Healthcare in this Free Educator Workshop

Open to: All Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Join fellow educators for this free online workshop from the Museum of the City of New York.  Together we will learn how the Puerto Rican Young Lords mobilized for free, accessible healthcare, for communities of color, in East Harlem and the South Bronx, in the 1970s.  We will also explore the impact of their work on today’s movements for equitable healthcare. In this workshop, we will analyze sources from the online exhibition Activist New York and share stories, resources, and ideas for digital classrooms. Receive 1.5 CTLE Hours available.
