Learn More About Lower East Side Immigrant Heritage Sites: A Special Open House for Educators

Open to: Social Studies Teachers, Humanities Teachers and  K-12 Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: For millions of immigrants, their American journeys began upon their arrival to one of New York’s oldest neighborhood, the Lower East Side.  Today, neighborhood immigrant heritage sites, such as, Ellis Island, Henry Street Settlement, Museum at Eldridge Street, Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA), and the Tenement Museum remain dedicated to the preservation and celebration of the immigrant experience of the past and present.

During this 90 minute Open House hear from the museum education staff of all of these sites as they share virtual programming, activities, and resources that can supplement your immigration unit and much more.
