Applied Panarchy in Environmental Science! (HS) MODULES

Open to: STEM Teachers and Science Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: The Applied Panarchy in Environmental Science (APES ) curriculum blends a humanities lens with scientific methods to empower students to live more sustainable lives.   Explore strategies to deepen student understanding of key concepts in environmental science and implement a student-centered Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) aligned approach to science education. In addition, engage in thought-provoking experiments you can use in your classroom, using Claim, Evidence, Reasoning (CER), Social Ecological Systems (SES), and panarchy to probe student thinking.  We will discuss district requirements, lab resources, and “Reflective Checklists”.
