Opportunity at a Glance: Prior experience with or knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) is not required to attend this professional development opportunity. Participants also do not need to have GIS software downloaded for this session. This is an informational session in which participants will learn about the following:
- What is GIS;
- How GIS can benefit your classroom;
- How to access ArcGIS Online for your classroom (for FREE!);
- Basics of how to use ArcGIS Online; and
- How to use GIS to answer a specific question.
