Opportunity at a Glance: Learn techniques for analyzing and interpreting modern and contemporary art in three of the following New York City art museums: The Met with The Museum of Modern Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. This is a weeklong program.
Objectives include the following:
- Learning and applying object-based teaching strategies
- Building confidence incorporating modern and contemporary art into lesson plans
- Utilizing great works of art as forums for interdisciplinary investigations
- Becoming a part of a learning community with other educators and museum staff
Key dates: Monday July 11- Friday July 15 from 10:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.
Location: The Met, The Museum of Modern Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
