Open to: Grades K–5 Teachers
Opportunity at a Glance: Students enter classrooms with a variety of interests. Collections provide the perfect opportunity to delve into them. During this workshop participants will do the following:
- Explore the new Collections Core and Research Library to learn more about how they can help us better understand the world and tap into our innate curiosity;
- Focus on the practices of obtaining, evaluating, and communicating information in ways that inspire wonder and spark interest;
- Discuss how these skills translate to the K-5 classroom: and
- Plan on how to use these museum resources with students.
